Overview:
Uniblue’s RegistryBooster 2 is a Windows registry repair application. The registry is a Microsoft Windows’ filing cabinet that contains all information on your computer’s hardware, software, operating system and system settings. As you add/remove programs, run anti-spyware scans, browse the Internet, etc. the registry accumulates lots of data. That filing cabinet gets messy and crowded. To help tidy it up, you can use a registry cleaner program like Uniblue’s RegistryBooster 2.
Pros of the RegistryBooster 2:
This is a small program that is easy on system resources.
It scans your registry for errors and fixes them quickly and efficiently. It is a simple application with an easy-to-use and -understand program interface. Before attempting to repair any of the registry entries, you have to make either a full or partial back up of the registry. This is a very good feature, just in case something goes awry. Restoring the registry from a previous backup is straightforward, too. As with the earlier version, it also has a registry defragment option, similar to the Windows disk defragmenter.
Cons of the RegistryBooster 2:
After installation of this application, it automatically loads whenever you start or restart your computer. To exit, the program requires two clicks rather than one. The descriptions of the registry errors are confusing. For example, “Empty Key : HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{3C4F3BE3-47EB-101B-A3C9-08002B2F49FB} The key InprocServer under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{3C4F3BE3-47EB-101B-A3C9-08002B2F49FB} is empty” leaves me puzzled and scratching my head quizzically. Lastly, including pitches for other Uniblue products in the program interface is not necessary.
Comments:
A good program, easy to use, simple and very efficient. Registry error descriptions are too complex and I can do without the pitches for other Uniblue products.
